Oyoun Berlin

Oyoun Berlin is a platform for intersectional artistic and socio-cultural practices rooted in decolonial, queer* feminist thinking and focused on voices and perspectives that challenge dominant narratives. Embodied, experimental and ephemeral knowledge is fundamental to Oyoun’s work. With its ‘for us, by us’ ethos, the organization challenges systemic exclusions and entrenched hierarchies in art and society, shifting boundaries between North and South, centre and periphery. At Oyoun, process takes precedence over outcome: through residencies, alternative education and collective cultural projects, Oyoun cultivates care, solidarity and sustainable creative resistance, its anti-disciplinary approach combining art, activism, theory and lived experience.
