Announcing The Will Smith Emerging Artist Fund

We are thrilled to announce our newest grant program, the result of an exciting partnership with actor, producer, and musician, Will Smith.
The Will Smith Emerging Artist Fund is the result of a newly forged partnership between Will Smith and The Supporting Act Foundation. This grant program has been designed to support emerging music artists from underrepresented groups in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Monaco, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom–all countries that feature in Smith’s 2025 “Based on a True Story” summer tour.
The fund will see a total of €100,000 distributed to 20 music artists via unrestricted grants of €5,000 each. In addition to this financial support the artists will also be promoted on the channels of both Will Smith and The Supporting Act Foundation and will be invited to join the foundation’s Grantee Network Program—an annual series of online gatherings and workshops.
The 20 grantees will be chosen by an independent selection committee of four comprising producer, DJ, creative director and researcher Cora Novoa; Future Bubblers Academy program director and A&R Selassie Tevie; Artist manager, creative producer and co-founder of ESEA Music Tiger Hagino Reid; DJ, curator and programmer and co-founder of Oroko Radio Nico Adomako.

All the details and FAQs about the grant–including eligibility criteria and application requirements–can be found in the open call guide available at the Will Smith Emerging Artist Fund program page.
The open call is now live and will close on September 1, 2025, at 11.00 AM CET. We look forward to applications from eligible artists.
