Carolina Riaño

Carolina Riaño is a Colombian singer, cultural facilitator and voice teacher based in Berlin. Trained in classical singing and opera in both Germany and Colombia, her artistic practice spans classical, contemporary to Latin American traditions. Riaño’s practice centers on community-based singing and collective workshops, which she leads at institutions like Spore Initiative, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, and SAVVY Contemporary. In 2022 Riaño founded Canto Diáspora, a migrant and women-led choir exploring oral traditions and migration narratives. Riaño has also developed musical projects including Canto Crudo, the Carolina Riaño Trio, and LaCura Berlin.
